About us

Founded in 1979 in Dallas, Texas—and still here.

American Alloy Recycling has roots going back to 1979. We have remained in business by holding ourselves to high standards, treating customers as partners and doing what we say we will do.

Our approach

Our customers are more than just numbers.

We did not build this company by chasing quick tickets. We built it by focusing on the people behind each load of metal and doing our best to make their experience consistently positive.

  • Decades in the Dallas market.
We have seen markets move up and down, and we understand how to navigate those cycles with our customers.
  • High standards across the board.
From how we grade and sort metal to how we answer the phone, we aim to operate with professionalism and consistency.
  • Relationships that last.
We want you to feel confident sending material to us for years, not just one shipment.

HPPA-compliant handling where it matters.

Certain material streams, including x-ray film and some types of electronic scrap, can involve sensitive information. Our processes are designed to be HPPA compliant, with appropriate respect for privacy and secure handling. We are happy to discuss how our procedures align with your internal compliance requirements.

How we work with you

Dedicated representatives and shipping handled for you.

We want scrap to be one of the easier parts of your operation. When you work with American Alloy Recycling, you have a consistent point of contact and we handle the logistics.

  • Your own representative.
You will be assigned a representative who learns your material, your expectations and your schedule. That is who you work with directly.
  • Shipping and handling covered.
We take care of shipping and handling costs as part of how we do business, so your material can move smoothly without surprises.
  • Clear communication.
We explain how material is graded, where it goes and what you can expect each step of the way.

Why we are still here.

Many things in recycling have changed since 1979. What has not changed is the importance of trust, fairness and clear agreements. Our goal is to embody those values in every interaction with our customers.
